October 30, 2014Allan Tamm, co-founder and president of aviation consulting firm Avicor Aviation Inc. for the past 27 years, passed away on October 4, 2014 at the age of 59.
Allan had been diagnosed with ALS in May 2014 after experiencing some difficulty walking for the previous few months. He specialized in assisting corporations and high net worth individuals with aircraft purchases, and providing advisory services to aircraft owners and operators. Previously he worked with several aviation companies in North America and Europe. He was passionate about aviation, was known for "having his finger on the pulse of the industry," and frequently provided industry insight to investment firms and general media. He will be greatly missed by all at Avicor Aviation and by his many friends, especially within the aviation industry.
